This beautiful baby boy was 4.1 kg when he was born! so even when he was 2 weeks old when I photographed him, he looked more like 1 month old!  what a gorgeous baby boy!   He didn’t sleep much during the session, so I was able to capture his gorgeous eyes 😉  His older sister was jumping on the bed, running around the house…  which I thought this is the real life with newborn and 2 years old toddler.  I love lots of shots from this session, I think my favorite is the one below, when mom is trying to cuddle Henry to sleep, order sister was rolling around the bed.  So real and so true, it was such a cute moments to photograph!   It is lots of fun to do newborn session in Tokyo!

I’ve been photographing L family for about 2 years now.  Our first session was when Jason, the older brother was about 9 months old, since then, I photographed L family for Jason’s 1 years old, 18months old, 2 years old, maternity portraits, Nathan, younger brother’s newborn, etc. It’s an amazing feeling to watch them growing up from 9 month old to 2 and half months, from family of 3 to family of 4.   This session is for Nathan’s 8 months old portraits!  Nathan enjoyed picking up rocks and leaves and playing with them, Jason loves water, so he got soaking wet… playing in the water. they all made such a cute portraits!  Can’t wait to photograph L family again when I’m back in San Francisco next time!

Our very first session!

The cutest smile!!

What a beautiful Family!  I had so much fun photographing T Family last week at Shinjyuku Gyoen in Tokyo.  Grand Father is an old friend of my in law from about 30 years ago when they all lived in Boston.  Life is so interesting how I get to photograph T Family and now with their grandkids.  Shinjyuku Gyoen is such a beautiful park and perfect for Family Photos, gorgeous skyline of Shinjyuku, lots of trees and beautiful flowers!  Enjoy your pictures! T Family!

In the one Sunday afternoon, I was practicing my camera setting on my husband ( I do this all the time so now he doesn’t even look at me anymore.. which is totally O.K 😉 ) then I heard little noise from hallway.  Leo just woke up from his nap and came to join us.  He started playing with Daddy and I kept taking pictures.  These sweet moments are so precious.  I LOVE taking pictures at beautiful locations, and I also love capturing these everyday moments.  In Japan, photography culture is very different than U.S.  There are MANY photo studios to celebrate milestone in Kimono ( which is gorgeous and beautiful! ) but hiring professional photographer is for wedding.  Life Style Family Photography is not very common.  I believe every family should have pictures taken at least once a year to remember how family love looks like.  I’m looking forward to photographing many families, kids and babies while I’m in Tokyo!
